The goal of this project was to separate different hardware pieces into different species using a cladogram.
We did a couple activities to learn about cladograms and their importance. Then we started to make our cladograms. Once they were finished we had to create as story describing the evolution and creation of the species.
Content: Evolution - n. The process by which different kinds of living organisms are thought to have developed and diversified from earlier forms during the history of the earth. Natural Selection: Organisms with traits that best suit their environment will survive and reproduce Artificial Selection: Humans have selected what animals and plants to breed Allopatric Speciation: A species splits into multiple groups because of geographic change. All groups get their own unique characteristics. Sympatric Speciation: New species evolve from a single ancestral species while inhabiting the same geographic location.
Reflection: Overall this project was fine. I think my group did a good job working together. I personally felt like I should have tried to work more on the project. A "peak" was getting the project done on time. A "pit" was that we had to rush the story a little bit. I learned that cooperation is important for good work and that working hard makes completing something easier.
