In this project we were tasked with making art for our future robot overlords.
Activities/Experiments:
Circuit Basics: The first packet we completed had us learning the basics of circuits
Breadboard Experiments: The second packet had us going even more in depth on the basics we had previously learned.
Arduino Experiments: Using the Arduino Uno, we completed experiments that taught us the basics of coding and setting up circuits that could much more interesting things than in the last two packets.
Robot Art Show: We had to utilize the things we had learned in the to create art for our future robot overlords.
Current - i - The flow of electrical charge. Measured in amperes (AKA amps) - i=Ω/V
Voltage - V - The difference of power from before and after a component in a circuit. Measured in volts - V=iΩ
Resistance - Ω - How much something opposes electrical charge when it is passing through it. Measured in ohms. - Ω=i/V
Circuit - A closed loop of conductive material connected the positive and negative terminals of a power source.
Reflection: During this project I re-learned to choose my partner carefully. In the end we got the project done. One "peak" was getting the code for the arduino to work and making the song work (although I wasn't really there for that). A "pit" was waiting for my partner to catch back up with me during the first few packets. I enjoyed the hands on and limited help of this project although I found myself not understanding any of the coding at all.
